«THE VALENCIA DISTRICT IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE IN THE COMMUNITY»
The real estate portal Fotocasa has published a list with the prices of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Spain and the city of Valencia heads this ranking.
The reality is that the current housing prices in the Valencian Community reveal the unstable situation that the real estate market is going through. All this, due to factors such as the lack of supply and a demand that does not stop growing, which result in an almost incessant escalation of prices for several years now.
The Valencian Community is not immune to this situation and its rental market continues to reach historic highs. This leads the Community to have a total of sixteen of the twenty most expensive neighbourhoods in the entire community to rent a home, according to data from the latest report published by the real estate portal Fotocasa.
The neighbourhoods of La Xerea, El Mercat and El Carme are the three areas of the Community with the most expensive prices to rent a home. With prices between 19 and 18 euros per square metre, the Valencian ‘top ten’ is completed by the neighbourhoods of Sant Francesc, El Pilar, Sant Pau, Gran Via, and Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, in the capital of Valencia, as well as La Patacona in Alboraya.
Curiously, the La Xerea neighbourhood is, apart from the most expensive, the one with the highest increase in rent prices, together with Nou Moles, both at +35%. Although none of the other neighbourhoods are far behind in terms of rent increases…
